One team for the house and the workplace

Overview

Residential & Commercial in Troy and the Capital Region

Plenty of our clients hire us twice: once for the house and once for the business. It usually starts with the home, and a few months later the same person asks whether we can take over the office, because the current arrangement is a rotating cast of strangers with a vacuum and no checklist.

Commercial work is a different discipline from residential work, even when the tasks look similar. A workplace is cleaned around people rather than for them: after hours, on a fixed rotation, with priorities set by what customers and staff actually see and touch. Restrooms and entryways drive perception far more than a spotless supply closet ever will.

We work with small offices, professional suites, salons and studios, retail floors, waiting rooms and light industrial break areas. The size that suits us best runs from a two-room practice up to a floor of around thirty people — small enough that we can hold consistency and someone recognises the team, large enough to justify a proper rotation schedule.

Scheduling is built around access. Most commercial clients take an evening slot after close; some prefer early mornings before opening. Either works, and we set alarm codes, key handling and lock-up procedure in writing before the first visit rather than sorting it out at the door.

The rotation matters. Daily-touch items — restrooms, kitchens and break areas, entry glass, high-touch surfaces, trash — are done every visit. Everything else runs on a documented cycle: interior glass partitions, baseboards, vents, high dusting, chair bases and under-desk floor areas, appliance interiors in the kitchen. You get the cycle in writing, so you know what happened on which night without having to ask.

On the residential side, the same household can combine services freely: a biweekly plan for the house, a deep clean before the holidays, and a move-out clean when a rental turns over. It is one point of contact and one standard across all of it, which is the part clients tell us they actually value.

Why it works

Six things this service gets right

After-hours scheduling

Evenings after close or early mornings before opening. Your staff never work around a cleaning crew and your customers never see one.

A documented rotation

Daily-touch items every visit, deeper items on a written cycle. You always know what was done and when it is due again.

Access handled properly

Keys, codes, alarm procedure and lock-up are agreed in writing before the first visit, and access is tied to the account rather than to an individual.

Restrooms and entries prioritised

Two areas carry most of the impression a visitor forms. They get the most attention on every single visit.

One contact for home and business

The same company, the same standard and one phone number for both sides of your life.

Right-sized for small business

We are built for the two-room practice and the thirty-person floor, not for a contract that treats you as a line on a regional schedule.

Process

Five steps, every time

Walk the space after hours

We visit at the time we would actually be cleaning, because a workplace at 6 p.m. looks nothing like it does at noon.

Set the rotation

Daily-touch items and cycle items are separated and written down, then priced against a realistic visit length.

Agree access and security

Keys, codes, alarm sequence, lock-up and who gets called if something is wrong — settled before night one.

Run the schedule

The team works the same rotation on the same nights. You get a record of each visit.

Review at 30 and 90 days

Early on, most rotations need one or two adjustments. We ask instead of assuming the first version was right.

Worth knowing

Why small businesses outgrow the cheapest option

The lowest bid usually wins a commercial cleaning contract, and it usually loses it within a year. The pattern is consistent: the price only works at a visit length too short for the space, so the rotation quietly disappears, the deeper items stop happening, and eight months later the vents are grey and nobody can say when the baseboards were last touched.

The tell is not the nightly work — that generally looks fine. It is the absence of any written record. If a provider cannot tell you which week the interior glass gets done, it is because nothing is scheduled and everything is improvised.

We would rather quote a realistic visit length and keep the account for years. Small business owners talk to each other, especially in a market the size of the Capital Region, and that is a far better sales channel than underbidding.

Residential & Commercial FAQ

Questions about residential & commercial

Rarely, and only when a client specifically wants it. Evening and early-morning slots produce better work because we are not navigating around people, and your team is not working next to a vacuum.

From a two-room professional suite up to a floor of roughly thirty people. Beyond that, a dedicated janitorial contractor with overnight staffing is usually the better fit and we will tell you so rather than overpromise.

In writing, before the first visit. Access details are held at the account level, not with an individual cleaner, and the procedure covers who to contact if an alarm triggers or a door is found unsecured.

Yes, and many clients do. It is one account, one contact and one standard, and the scheduling is coordinated so the two never compete for the same window.

We restock what you supply and tell you when levels are running low. Some clients prefer to have us purchase consumables and bill them through; that can be arranged once the account is established.

Insurance details are confirmed in writing with your quote, and we are glad to provide documentation directly to a property manager or landlord when a building requires it before granting access.

Retail and salons in particular have predictable busy periods. We adjust frequency and rotation for those windows — additional visits through the holidays, lighter coverage in the slow months — with no change to the base agreement.
